INTERVIEW: The Sherlocks Tease Resolute Return with ‘Sirens’ – Band’s “Biggest Tune to Date”

Sheffield four-piece The Sherlocks are raring to go again as they prepare to drop brand new single, ‘Sirens‘ this Friday which, based on the band’s latest updates on social media, is their most ambitious track yet.

Armed with three high charting studio albums – the latter of which marked the band’s first release following the incorporation of Alex Procter on guitar and Trent Jackson on bass, and which was lauded as their most expansive and accomplished album to date – ‘Sirens’ finds the four-piece venturing into heavier fare, without compromising the band’s signature sound.

Having heard the new single, if ‘Sirens’ is any indication of what The Sherlocks might have been cooking up to release shortly afterwards, all signs suggest that fans are in for something special.

In anticipation of the new single’s release, CinemaChord’s Howard Gorman caught up with band members Kiaran and Brandon Crook to get them to dish the dirt on why they reckon this is their biggest track to date. The conversation went on to explore what prompted the band to experiment with a heavier edge, what fans can expect from their headline tour in October/November, before we went on to discuss the tough but rewarding grind involved when it comes to self-releasing music; something that The Reytons served testament to, having just hit the top of the charts independently.

You can pre-save ‘Sirens’ here and we’ll leave you with a reminder of the band’s upcoming headline tour dates:
