Unveiling Prince Andrew’s Controversial Truth: A First Look at Prime Video’s “A VERY ROYAL SCANDAL“

Prime Video has unveiled a selection of first-look images for “A Very Royal Scandal”, the captivating retelling of the real-life 2019 interview between BBC Newsnight presenter Emily Maitlis and Prince Andrew, Duke of York.

Starring Michael Sheen (“Good Omens”, Prodigal Son, “Masters of Sex”) as Prince Andrew and Ruth Wilson (“Luther”, “The Affair”, ”Jane Eyre”) as Emily Maitlis, the three-part miniseries shines a spotlight on the immense power and influence of investigative journalism, especially when it comes to exposing the wrongdoings of those in positions of power.

“A Very Royal Scandal” chronicles the events surrounding this high-profile interview, from the lead-up to the groundbreaking broadcast to the many lingering questions that would have a lasting impact on their lives.

Along with Sheen and Wilson, the series will feature an impressive ensemble supporting cast, including Joanna Scanlan (After LoveNotes on a Scandal) as Amanda Thirsk, Alex Jennings (Your Christmas or Mine?) as Sir Edward Young,  Éanna Hardwicke (”The Sixth Commandment”) as Stewart Maclean and Claire Rushbrook (Secrets & Lies, “Wilderness”) as Sarah Ferguson.

The drama series was directed by Julian Jarrold (“The Crown”, “This England”) and written by Jeremy Brock (The Last King of Scotland, How I Live Now). It was produced by Blueprint Television for Amazon MGM Studios and distributed worldwide by Sony Pictures Television. The executive producers are Karen Thrussell, Graham Broadbent, Pete Czernin, Diarmuid McKeown, Jeremy Brock, Julian Jarrold, and Emily Maitlis. Josh Hyams served as a producer on the series.

“A Very Royal Scandal” will premiere on 19 September exclusively on Prime Video in the UK, US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
