Simon Pegg Cruises Back for Mission: Impossible 5

In short:

Only last week we heard that Mission: Impossible 5 would be trying to pull off an impossible mission by releasing on Christmas Day 2015, just seven days after the slated release date for Star Wars: Episode VII.

Today the first returning team member has been confirmed and he goes by the name of Benji. In an interview with MTV, Simon Pegg let the cat out of the bag confirming his expert techie comical creation would be reteaming with Ethan Hunt in the next entry in the franchise from Jack Reacher director and The Usual Suspects scribe Christopher McQuarrie.

This is certainly good news given Pegg’s adeptness at adding a healthy dose of comic relief amidst the intense action scenes we’ve become accustomed to in the Mission Impossible series. This is promising news for now and we’ll keep you updated when any other members are confirmed to return to the field.
