Short and Feature Film Lineup Revealed for Cannes Critics’ Week Parallel Strand

The Cannes Film Festival’s Critics’ Week, a strand devoted exclusively to first and second films which runs parallel to the festival, has today revealed the 11 feature films and 13 short films which will screen at this year’s edition.

Inaugurating the event is Jesse Eisenberg‘s A24 comedy-drama When You Finish Saving the World, based on his own Audible Original of the same name, which premiered at Sundance this year. Julianne Moore and Finn Wolfhard play mother and son in this film which tells the timeless story of parents and children struggling to connect across the generational chasm that separates them.

This strand will be brought to a close with Jung July‘s Da-eum-so-hee (Next Sohee), a gripping feminist crime drama starring Bae Doona (Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, The Host, A Girl At My Door).
