Reality-Based ‘ONE OF THESE DAYS’ Receives Theatrical Release Date

Studio Soho has today announced the release date of the compelling and psychologically charged drama, ONE OF THESE DAYS which received critical acclaim on the international film festival circuit, having screened at Berlinale, Zurich Film Festival, and Nashville Film Festival, to name just a few.

Directed by Bastian Günther (“Houston”, “Autopilots”) from a script he wrote basing himself on true events, and starring Joe Cole (“Gangs Of London”, “Peaky Blinders, “A Prayer Before Dawn”), Carrie Preston (“The Good Wife”, True Blood), Callie Hernandez (Under the Silver Lake, Alien: Covenant) and Cullen Moss (Assassination Nation, “Resurrection”), this Berlinale Panorama entry takes place in a small southern town in the US in which twenty volunteers compete to win a brand-new pick-up truck, in the annual ‘Hands On’ contest, a prize that might finally tip the scales of life in their favour. Each of the contestants has their own specific reasons for taking part in the contest, and as the blisteringly hot days and long nights add up, their humanity is laid bare.

Car dealership employee Joan (Preston) provides fervent enthusiasm to the contestants, including the young family man Kyle (Cole), who wants to win the car at all costs, but who will hold on and win – and at what cost?

Günther’s film ultimately draws a timeless and topical picture of a society in which the obsession with economic gain leads to tragedy.

ONE OF THESE DAYS will be released in cinemas only from April 1st and, in the meantime, we’ll leave you with the official UK trailer for the film below:
