‘Oculus’ Mirror Shatters Moviegoers’ Nerves

JE3_5931.NEFOculus is without a doubt one of the most highly anticipated horror films of the year. Directed by Mike Flanagan (Absentia), the film stars Karen Gillan (TV’s Dr. Who), Brenton Twaites (Maleficent), Katee Sackhoff (TV’s Battlestar Galactica) and Rory Cochrane (Argo). Oculus has already shattered the nerves of audiences across America and today (Friday 13th) sees the turn of UK audiences to experience the same level of terror.

Described by Stephen King as “Deepy Terrifying” Oculus tells the story of Kaylie Russell (Karen Gillan), a woman who is determined to exonerate her brother of their parents’ murder ten years ago. In an effort to prove his innocence, Kaylie sets up an experiment to prove that the crime was committed by a supernatural phenomenon and malevolent force that resides in an antique mirror that her family had once owned.

We have already booked our tickets to see the movie and our review will follow but for a select few people who were lucky to attend an early screening were given a chance to meet the Oculus Mirror in person. Lucky for us the cameras were there to capture this stunningly successful scare stunt from Warner Bros. UK. Watch the following clip to see moviegoers experience a slice of the supernatural power of the Lasser Glass.

See your fear and check out Oculus which now on general release in cinemas across the UK.
