Meet Emmet in New Teaser for The LEGO Movie

Starting life as a simple collection of wooden blocks created in a Danish carpenter’s workshop, LEGO has transformed into the world’s most loved toy which appeals to a wide audience given that these blocks have served as the building blocks for the lives of billions.

Over the years LEGO has branched out and the world has seen the spawning of clothing lines, books and theme parks dedicated to the toy. There have also been several straight-to-video LEGO films as well as several video games which have all done fantastically well. So, based on the world’s hunger for all things LEGO, it was only a matter of time before Hollywood decided to jump on the bandwagon.

So what about the film? What is it all about? Well, according the official press release The LEGO Movie follows Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. Emmet is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which he is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.

Featuring the voice talents of Will Ferrell, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Will Arnett, Elizabeth Banks and Chris Pratt as Emmet, the first-ever full length theatrical LEGO movie promises to be the greatest movie ever assembled.

So with the next trailer being released ready for Halloween keep your eyes open for what is sure to be a major box office success when it is released world wide on Valentines Day 2014. Why not make a date of it?
