Maxwell Jenkins & Jaeden Martell Talk Surviving the Dystopian Creature Feature ‘ARCADIAN’ with Nicolas Cage

RLJE Films will release Benjamin Brewer‘s dystopian action thriller Arcadian exclusively in theaters this Friday, April 12 (read our review here).

Directed by Brewer, from a script penned by Michael Nilon (Nicolas Cage’s manager, agent and producing partner), the film follows Paul (Cage), and his twin teenage sons, Thomas and Joshua (Maxwell Jenkins and Jaeden Martell, respectively), as they struggle to survive in a remote farmhouse after a mysterious apocalyptic event has resulted in a mysterious evil emerging every night. When Thomas goes missing after dark one day, Paul must venture beyond the safety of their fortified farm on a perilous quest to find him. What follows is a nightmarish battle that will push the family to their limits.

In advance of Arcadian‘s release tomorrow, CinemaChords’ Howard Gorman interviewed stars Jenkins and Martell about playing siblings who share so much screen time with the film’s nocturnal creatures. They also discussed working with Nicolas Cage as their on-screen father and developing their characters’ unique traits, as director Brewer was keen to hear each actor’s take on how they wanted to tell their characters’ stories.
