ASH Drops First Harbinger of Incoming 8th Studio Album Accompanied by Jed Shepherd-helmed Music Video

ASH have stunned everyone by dropping brand-new single ‘Race The Night’, the title track from their forthcoming eighth studio album, the follow-up to 2018’s ‘Islands’. The new LP will drop on 15th September 2023 via Fierce Panda. And if that wasn’t enough news to get you excited, they also confirmed a brand new run of shows across the UK and Europe.

Commenting on the first single lifted from the impending LP, frontman Tim Wheeler said, “Race the Night is the sound of the band revelling in the sheer joy of being a band after being separated by time and distance through the insanity of the early 2020s. Lyrically it’s all about seizing the crossroads moments in life with both hands. Take every chance as if it could be your last.”

The new single also comes packing a music video (below) directed by Jed Shepherd (Host video interview here) who co-wrote 2020’s breakout horror hit, Host and most recently directed a segment in the recent horror anthology Scare Package II: Rad Chad’s Revenge.

The aforementioned tour across the UK and Europe (all dates listed below) sees the band co-headlining with The Subways and will give fans the chance to see them perform tracks from the new album for the first time ever and if you pre-order the LP from the Ash Store (here) or the Fierce Panda Store (here) before 11.59pm BST on Sunday 18th June you will be sent a unique code to obtain exclusive early access to nab a ticket for any of the UK shows before they go on general sale at 10 am on 21st June.
