Apple TV+ is returning to CCXP24, the largest pop culture festival in the world, in São Paulo, Brazil for the second consecutive year. This cements the streaming service’s status as a major player in the global entertainment industry.
On Saturday, December 7, Apple TV+ will take center stage on the Thunder Stage and expo floor, showcasing two of its most highly anticipated upcoming projects: the second season of the award-winning workplace thriller “Severance,” and the action-packed, genre-bending film The Gorge. The showcase will feature not-to-be-missed panel conversations and unforgettable events and fan experiences.
On January 17, 2025, the acclaimed workplace thriller “Severance” returns for its second season on Apple TV+. Created by executive producer Ben Stiller, the Emmy Award-winning series stars Emmy nominee Adam Scott, alongside Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Zach Cherry, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, Dichen Lachman, Emmy winner John Turturro, Oscar winner Christopher Walken, and Emmy and Oscar winner Patricia Arquette. Season two will introduce Sarah Bock as a new series regular.
In “Severance,” Mark Scout (Scott) heads a team at the mysterious Lumon Industries, where employees have undergone a “severance” procedure that surgically separates their memories between their work and personal lives. As this daring “work-life balance” experiment unravels, Mark finds himself at the center of a deepening mystery that forces him to confront the true nature of his job and himself. In season two, Mark and his colleagues discover the dire consequences of trifling with the severance barrier, plunging them further into a world of suffering and despair.
In the upcoming Apple Original Film The Gorge, two highly-trained operatives, played by Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy, are stationed in guard towers on opposite sides of a vast, top-secret gorge. Their mission is to protect the world from an undisclosed, mysterious evil lurking within. Despite the distance between them, the operatives forge a bond as they vigilantly defend against this unseen enemy. When the cataclysmic threat to humanity is finally unveiled, the two must put their physical and mental strength to the ultimate test, working together to keep the deadly secret in the gorge before it’s too late.
Also starring Sigourney Weaver, The Gorge is directed by Scott Derrickson (Sinister, Doctor Strange, The Black Phone) from a script written by Zach Dean (The Tomorrow War, Deadfall). Skydance Media’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger are producing alongside Crooked Highway’s Derrickson, C. Robert Cargill, Sherryl Clark, as well as Zach Dean, Adam Kolbrenner and Greg Goodman.
