Sacha Baron Cohen is bringing Ali G back to cinemas, with Amazon MGM Studios today dropping the first trailer for Ali G: Who Iz I?, which sees the comedian return to the character more than two decades after his previous big-screen outing.
The film will be released exclusively in theaters on October 23, 2026.
After 20 years spent “chillin’, tokin’ and bonin’,” Ali G is shocked to discover that his long-term girlfriend, Julie, is eight months pregnant. Faced with the prospect of an extra mouth to feed, he gets off his batty and travels to America in an attempt to reclaim his former glory.
His plans soon take a more dangerous turn, however, as Ali G encounters adversaries who ultimately threaten both his own existence and that of his child.
The new film marks a notable return for one of Baron Cohen’s most recognisable creations thanks to his particular brand of misplaced confidence and comic bravado. Ali G first appeared in the late 1990s before becoming the central figure of “Da Ali G Show” and later making his feature-film debut in 2002’s Ali G Indahouse.
Ali G: Who Iz I? also marks Baron Cohen’s directorial debut. He stars in the film opposite Morgana Robinson.
Amazon MGM Studios will release Ali G: Who Iz I? exclusively in theaters on October 23, 2026.
