Paramount Pictures and MTV Entertainment Studios have released the official trailer and poster for jackass: best and last, billed as the final entry in the long-running stunt franchise. The film is set for exclusive theatrical release on June 26.
Directed by Jeff Tremaine, jackass: best and last reunites Johnny Knoxville and the core Jackass cast, with Tremaine producing alongside Spike Jonze, Knoxville, and Shanna Newton, and executive producers Greg Iguchi, Pete Chiappetta, Anthony Tittanegro, and Andrew Lary. The film is a Dickhouse Production in association with Domain Entertainment and brings together Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Jason “Wee Man” Acuña, Dave England, Ehren McGhehey, Preston Lacy, Rachel Wolfson, Jasper, Compston “Dark Shark” Wilson, Sean “Poopies” McInerney, and Zach Holmes.
As per the synopsis, jackass: best and last blends new stunt sequences with highlights from across the franchise’s 25-year run, alongside previously unseen footage, positioning the film as both a new entry and a retrospective of the series’ history.
Knoxville first announced the project on his official Instagram account in January. He later appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and shared that his high-risk stunt performances have become more limited due to previous injuries, including a broken rib, wrist, and concussion, as well as a brain hemorrhage, all of which he sustained during an infamous bull stunt in Jackass Forever (2022).
Bam Margera, previously dismissed from Jackass Forever, appears only through archival footage and did not participate in new production.
Knoxville also later described the film as the endpoint of the franchise’s run, calling it “the natural place to end.” But it ain’t over just yet — so buckle up and enjoy the trailer, 25 years of Jackass all in one last go.
