Republic Pictures Unveils ‘HIGH GROUND’ Trailer: Sheriff Faces Cartel Wrath in Action-Packed Thriller

Republic Pictures has just unveiled the official trailer for High Ground, the latest action-packed thriller from stuntman-turned-director James Bamford. Known for his work on “Arrow” and Hard Home, Bamford brings his expertise in action choreography to this gripping film, which promises suspense and high-stakes drama aplenty.

The film stars Charlie Weber (“How To Get Away With Murder”), Katherine McNamara (“Arrow”), and Academy Award® winner Jon Voight, known for his iconic roles in Midnight Cowboy and Deliverance.

Set in a remote border town, High Ground tells the story of a sheriff who faces the wrath of a brutal cartel after a mysterious prisoner is brought into his jail. As tensions escalate, the sheriff finds himself caught between loyalty, survival, and a violent criminal underworld. The film’s screenplay is penned by John Thaddeus, based on an original story by Bill Sondheim.

The supporting ensemble cast is equally impressive, featuring Dustin Ingram (“Good Trouble”), James Oliver Wheatley (5lbs of Pressure), Henry Thomas (“Midnight Mass,” E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial), and Skyler Shaye.

The film will be available to buy on Digital starting March 18, 2025, and with the official trailer now released, fans can get a sneak peek at the explosive action and chilling performances that look set to define this high-octane thriller.
