Blumhouse Productions is once again bringing a fresh twist to the horror genre with Wolf Man, a chilling lupine nightmare from visionary writer-director Leigh Whannell, the creative force behind The Invisible Man. This new entry into the world of supernatural horror promises to be both a psychological thriller and a monstrous transformation story that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
In anticipation of the film’s release, Blumhouse has shared a thrilling new behind-the-scenes featurette, offering an exclusive look at the extraordinary work done in the monster workshop to create the creature prosthetics that will bring the terrifying wolf-like transformation to life.
Directed by Whannell, from a script he co-wrote with Corbett Tuck, Wolf Man stars Golden Globe nominee Christopher Abbott (Poor Things, Possessor) as Blake, a San Francisco father who inherits his childhood home in rural Oregon after the mysterious disappearance of his father. Blake’s already strained marriage to his high-powered wife Charlotte, played by Emmy winner Julia Garner (“Ozark“, Inventing Anna), faces even greater tension as they head to the remote property for a much-needed getaway. Along with their young daughter, Ginger (Matilda Firth), the family arrives at the isolated farmhouse, only to be attacked by an unseen animal under the cover of night. The terror escalates as Blake begins to undergo a horrific transformation, and Charlotte must face a nightmare that may prove to be more deadly than anything lurking outside their home.
As the family fights for survival, Charlotte is forced to confront a heart-wrenching question: Can she save her husband, or is the creature within him already beyond redemption?
The film also features a talented ensemble cast, including Sam Jaeger (“The Handmaid’s Tale”), Ben Prendergast (The Sojourn Audio Drama), Benedict Hardie (The Invisible Man), newcomer Zac Chandler, Beatriz Romilly (Shortland Street), and Milo Cawthorne (Shortland Street).
