Paramount Unleashes Hell in New Trailer for Ridley Scott’s Long-Anticipated Sequel, ‘GLADIATOR II’

Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here? That’s right, Paramount has today debuted the hugely-anticipated trailer for Ridley Scott‘s (Alien, Blade Runner, The Martian) Gladiator II, which, 24 years after the original film, now continues the epic saga of power, intrigue, and vengeance set in Ancient Rome.

Directed by Scott, from a screenplay penned by David Scarpa (Napoleon, All the Money in the World), Gladiator II chronicles the experiences of Lucius (Paul MescalAll of Us Strangers, God’s Creatures), who, years after witnessing the death of the revered hero Maximus at the hands of his uncle, is forced to enter the Colosseum after his home is conquered by the tyrannical Emperors who now lead Rome with an iron fist. With a desire for revenge and the future of the Empire at stake, Lucius must look to his past to find strength and honor to return the glory of Rome to its people.

Co-starring alongside Mescal are Pedro Pascal (“The Last of Us”, “The Mandalorian”), Joseph Quinn (A Quiet Place: Day One, “Stranger Things”), Fred Hechinger (The Pale Blue Eye, News of the World), Lior Raz (“Hit & Run”, “The Crowded Room”), and Derek Jacobi (Gosford Park, Dead Again), with Connie Nielsen (The Devil’s Advocate, Nobody) and Denzel Washington (Training Day, Malcolm X, Philadelphia).

Scott produces the film along with Douglas Wick, Lucy Fisher, Michael Pruss, and David Franzoni. Walter Parkes, Laurie MacDonald, Raymond Kirk, Aidan Elliott are executive producers.

Prepare to be entertained when Gladiator II releases exclusively in cinemas on November 15. It will also be available in both 4DX and IMAX.
