The Past Isn’t Finished With Her Yet in First Official “MAXXXINE” Trailer

Her dream was to be a star… But, Hollywood can be a killer…

Following last year’s Toronto International Film Festival premiere of Ti West’s Pearl (a secretly-filmed prequel that the filmmaker made in conjunction with X), the audience members found themselves the surprising recipients of the exclusive news that A24 had greenlit a film going by the name of MaXXXine, which will be the third film in the X horror franchise.

Well, A24 have today dropped the immensely-anticipated official trailer for said installment in the “X” trilogy.

Written and directed by West and starring Mia Goth, Elizabeth Debicki, Moses Sumney, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Halsey, Lily Collins, with Giancarlo Esposito, and Kevin Bacon, the film sees adult film star and aspiring actress Maxine Minx finally get her big break in 1980s Hollywood. But as a mysterious killer stalks the starlets of Hollywood, a trail of blood threatens to reveal her sinister past.

MaXXXine is produced by A24, Jacob Jaffke and Ti West and executive produced by Goth. Additional producers include Kevin Turen and Harrison Kreiss.

MaXXXine will release in theaters everywhere on July 5 and we’ll leave you with a glimpse of how West intends to bid farewell to his much-loved franchise.
