Face Fears and Confront the Past in Tense New Trailer for Carter Smith’s ‘THE PASSENGER’

Paramount has just dropped the official trailer for Carter Smith’s (The Ruins, Swallowed) tense new thriller The Passenger in anticipation of the film’s August 4, 2023 On Demand and Digital release date.

Directed by Smith, from a script written by Jack Stanley, The Passenger centers on Randy (Johnny Berchtold – “Gaslit”), someone who is perfectly content with fading into the background. But when his coworker Benson (Kyle Gallner- Smile, Scream (2022)) goes on a sudden and violent rampage leaving a trail of destruction in his wake, Randy is forced to face his fears and confront his troubled past to survive.

The film also stars Liza Weil (“Westworld”, “How to Get Away with Murder”) and is produced by Jason Blum, Chris McCumber, Jeremy Gold, and Lauren Downey.

Jack Stanley’s writing credits include various scripts that have featured on the Black List including Possession: A Love Story, and Lou starring Allison Janney, Jurnee Smollett, and Logan Marshall Green for Netflix.

The Passenger will release On Demand and Digital on August 4, 2023 before an getting an MGM+ release later in the year.
