Starring quite the ensemble cast with the likes of Dane DeHaan, Cara Delevingne, Rihanna, John Goodman, Ethan Hawke, Clive Owen and Rutger Hauer, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets finds Valerian (Dane DeHaan) and Laureline (Cara Delevingne), a team of 28th century special operatives, charged with maintaining order throughout the human territories. Under assignment from the Minister of Defense, they embark on a mission to the city of Alpha – an ever-expanding metropolis where species from all over the universe have converged over centuries to share knowledge, intelligence and cultures with each other. There’s a mystery at the center of Alpha, a dark force which threatens the peaceful existence of the City of a Thousand Planets, and Valerian and Laureline must race to identify the marauding menace and safeguard not just Alpha, but the future of the universe.

With the stunning sci-fi adventure coming to UK cinemas in Summer 2017, there’s not too long to wait. But in the meanwhile, we’ll leave you with the aforementioned space opera spectacular of a trailer. Feast your eyes on this!
