An abandoned house deep in the woods. A missing crew. A presence that watches from the shadows. This is just the first flicker of the flashlight in terms of what viewers can expect from House on Eden, the debut feature from viral content creators Kris Collins and Celina Myers — better known to their combined 70 million followers as KallMeKris and CelinaSpookyBoo.
Today, RLJE Films and Shudder announced their worldwide acquisition of this new found-footage horror film together with its first official trailer, giving audiences a disquieting preview of the terror that awaits audienceds when House on Eden hits theaters exclusively on July 25, 2025.
What starts as a routine ghost-hunting case quickly descends into chaos in the film, as Kris, Celina, and their videographer Jay are rerouted to a long-abandoned house far from civilization. There, they encounter a force unlike any they’ve come across before – ancient, malevolent, and unrelenting. As the night wears on, crew members vanish, and eerie phenomena mount.
The film is written by Collins, who also co-stars with Myers and fellow producer Jason-Christopher Mayer. For their first foray into feature filmmaking, the trio taps into the raw immediacy of the found-footage genre, a space that Collins believes offers unparalleled immersion – though maybe not quite as intense as the immersion the person in the still below is experiencing… or maybe it will be. It won’t be long before we find out.

“I’m incredibly excited to team up with RLJE and Shudder to bring House on Eden to audiences exactly as it was meant to be experienced—immersively terrifying on the big screen,” said Collins. “With found-footage horror, there’s always an opportunity to explore fear through authenticity and immediacy, creating a uniquely chilling connection with the viewer. This partnership ensures that the scares we’ve crafted hit with full impact, delivering a cinematic nightmare that lingers long after the credits roll.”
The acquisition follows the massive success of IFC Entertainment Group’s Clown in a Cornfield, which shattered records earlier this year and dethroned 2024’s Late Night with the Devil as their highest box office opener to date.
For RLJE Films, House on Eden represents a continuation of bold, creator-driven genre filmmaking.
“Kris, Celina, and Jason look to the found-footage greats and wear their inspiration on their sleeves to craft a wholly unique addition to the sub-genre,” said Mark Ward, RLJE’s Chief Acquisition Officer. “As creators fluent in the language of both the internet and the occult, they blend real-world savvy with a genuine love for the eerie and unexplained to form House on Eden, which will pull audiences down an immersive descent into folklore that feels both modern and mythic.”
Shudder’s Samuel Zimmerman echoed that sentiment, highlighting the creative roots of the project.
“With House on Eden, Kris, Celina and Jason get to the root of independent horror. With a creative, DIY spirit and the ambition to subvert their own images, they’ve crafted something unexpected and most importantly, scary,” said Zimmerman, Senior VP of Programming and Acquisitions at Shudder. “We’re thrilled to help introduce them as filmmakers, and we’re excited for our members to see where House on Eden takes you.”
Produced by Collins, Myers, and Mayer, the film was negotiated on behalf of RLJE Films and Shudder by Zimmerman, Ward, and Brandon Hammer, in collaboration with the filmmakers themselves.
With the trailer now live and a release date set for July 25, House on Eden teases very little but plenty enough to raise more questions than it answers: What really happened in that house? Who — or what — is pulling the strings behind the camera?
