Paramount Releases Wacky Trailer for Underdog Comedy ‘SWEET DREAMS’ Starring Johnny Knoxville

Paramount Pictures has confirmed the theatrical and digital release schedule for the feel-good sports comedy, Sweet Dreams. From the producer of Tyler Nilson and Michael Schwartz’ heartwarming hit The Peanut Butter Falcon, this wacky tale of second chances comes courtesy of director/writer/producer Lije Sarki’s (Concrete Kids, Alphonso Bow) and features an all-star lineup.

Written, directed and produced by Sarki, and starring Johnny Knoxville (Jackass, The Ringer, Action Point), Mo Amer (Black Adam), Bobby Lee (How It Ends, “And Just Like That…”) and Kate Upton (The Other Woman, The Layover), the film centers on down-on-his-luck Morris (Knoxville) who lands in rehab at SWEET DREAMS recovery center after hitting rock bottom. But when their house goes up for auction, he reluctantly steps up to whip the center’s misfit softball team of recovering addicts into shape to win a tournament prize and prove that with teamwork and tenacity, everyone, despite their past, can hit a home run.

The ensemble cast is rounded out by GaTa (Anyone But You), Theo Von, Brian Van Holt (“Joe vs. Carole”), Jonnie Park (Drugstore June), Shakewell, Adam Faison (Hellraiser), Erik Anthony Gonzalez, Beth Grant, and Jay Mohr (Jerry Maguire, Air).

Morris and co. will prove that everyone deserves a second chance if they’re willing to step up to the plate next month when Sweet Dreams releases in theaters this April 12, 2024 before releasing on digital on April 16.
