At Apple TV’s Press Day, the cast of Legendary Television’s “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” unveiled the official trailer for the series’ second season. The 10-episode season, starring Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell, Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Joe Tippett, and Anders Holm, is set to premiere globally on Friday, February 27, 2026, with episodes releasing weekly through May 1.
Season two continues the story of Monarch, the secretive organization central to humanity’s encounters with giant monsters, and introduces a new Titan, Titan X, alongside returning Godzilla and Kong. New guest stars include Takehiro Hira, Amber Midthunder, Curtiss Cook, Cliff Curtis, Dominique Tipper, and Camilo Jiménez Varón.
Executive producers include Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell of Safehouse Pictures, Chris Black, Jen Roskind, Matt Shakman, Lawrence Trilling, and Andrew Colville. Black is showrunner for season two, while Shakman directs four episodes. Hiro Matsuoka and Takemasa Arita executive produce for Toho Co., Ltd., owner of the Godzilla character.
Apple TV also confirmed plans for multiple Monsterverse spin-offs, including a Young Lee Shaw prequel starring Wyatt Russell. Legendary’s Monsterverse, which began with 2014’s Godzilla, has grossed over $2.5 billion worldwide across films, series, and other media.
