Lupin Returns: Omar Sy’s Gentleman Thief Gears Up for a Fall 2026 Heist

Netflix has officially confirmed that “Lupin” will return for a fourth season, scheduled to debut in the autumn of 2026. Omar Sy will once again assume the role of Assane Diop, the suave and cunning thief who has captivated audiences worldwide.

Joining Sy are familiar and new faces, including Ludivine Sagnier, Antoine Gouy, Soufiane Guerrab, Shirine Boutella, Théo Christine, and Laïka Blanc-Francard.

The third season saw Assane execute a daring heist of the Black Pearl, win the admiration of the French public, stage his own death, and save his estranged mother’s life. Yet, in the quiet that follows, he recognises that protecting those he loves—his wife, son, mother, and closest friend—demands a profound personal sacrifice, leading him to surrender to the police. As Part 3 closes with Assane behind bars, the cliffhanger ending left audiences asking: can this containment hold the ever-resourceful thief?

Inspired by the legendary Arsène Lupin, the series is created by George Kay in collaboration with François Uzan, with creative contributions from Marie Roussin, Florent Meyer, and Tigran Rosine. Omar Sy and Louis Leterrier also serve as showrunners. The production is a Gaumont project in partnership with Carrousel Studios.
