Death Beckons in New Retro-style Teaser Poster for Corin Hardy’s ‘Whistle’

A new teaser poster for Whistle, a new supernatural horror film from Corin Hardy (The Nun), has just dropped, offering a retro-tinged glimpse into this tale of ancient Aztec dread.

Written by Owen Egerton (Blood Fest) and adapted from one of his own short stories, Whistle promises a fresh entry into the genre, blending psychological unease with the fatalistic structure of films like The Ring and Final Destination.

The plot centres on a group of high school students who discover a strange object—the Aztec Death Whistle. When one of them activates it, they unwittingly trigger a terrifying chain of events that brings them face-to-face with their own mortality.

The cast features a blend of emerging talent and established genre actors. Dafne Keen (“His Dark Materials”) leads, supported by Sophie Nélisse (“Yellowjackets”), Sky YangJhaleil SwabyAli SkovbyePercy Hynes White (“Wednesday”), Michelle Fairley (“Game of Thrones”), and Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead).

A Canadian-Irish co-production, Whistle is produced by David Gross (Room) for No Trace Camping and Macdara Kelleher (The Lobster) for Wild Atlantic Pictures.

The film is set to come for your soul when it hits theaters on February 6, 2026.
