MTV Push UK & IRE nominees have been locked in a frenetic race this January to win the public vote and reach the number one hotspot. Now, following an intense competition, MTV Push UK & IRE have today announced that the winner of the 2024 campaign is Lovejoy.
The Brighton-based indie rock band went head-to-head with nine other talented up-and-coming artists including AntsLive, Charlotte Plank, Elmiene, Henry Moodie, Jazzy, No Guidance, Only The Poets, Strandz and The Last Dinner Party. The incredible shortlist, selected by MTV officials, all went head-to-head as fans and MTV viewers rallied in their thousands to support their favourite artists, but it was Lovejoy’s devoted fanbase that gave them the extra push to become this year’s MTV PUSH UK & IRE winners. Henry Moodie, and Only The Poets followed.
Lovejoy kicked off the year by surpassing 1 billion global streams and announcing an appearance at Coachella in 2024, setting them up as one of the artists to watch this year. Not only did they garner 73% of the vote, but they also broke the record for the most votes in the history of the competition with an astonishing 96K+ likes on Instagram and are the runaway winners of MTV Push UK and IRE 2024.
