Insidious: Out of The Further Trailer

Amelia Eve leads cast, with Lin Shaye returning; Jacob Chase directs

Sony has debuted the first trailer for Insidious: Out of the Further and set the latest entry in the horror franchise for a theatrical release on August 21, 2026.

Amelia Eve (“The Haunting of Bly Manor”) stars as Gemma, a young mother who returns to her childhood home with her daughter and discovers she can enter “The Further,” the supernatural realm central to the Insidious universe. As she explores her connection, she realizes she can also bring entities from that realm into the real world, drawing the attention of dangerous forces.

Franchise regular Lin Shaye reprises her role as psychic medium Elise Rainier.

The film is directed by Jacob Chase (Come Play), who also wrote the screenplay from a story by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and Chase.

The Insidious franchise has grossed more than $740 million worldwide on a combined budget of $42.5 million.

Insidious: Out of the Further is produced by Jason Blum, Oren Peli, James Wan and Leigh Whannell, with Steven Schneider, Ryan Turek, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Johnson-McGoldrick serving as executive producers.
