Searchlight Pictures Drops New Trailer for ‘Ready or Not 2: Here I Come Ahead’ of SXSW Premiere

Searchlight Pictures has just dropped a brand-new trailer for Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, the follow-up to the darkly comic horror hit. The sequel will have its world premiere at SXSW on March 13, 2026, followed by a theatrical release on April 10, 2026.

Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett (Abigail, Scream [2022]), the film stars Samara Weaving (Borderline, Guns Akimbo) reprising her role as Grace. Moments after surviving the Le Domas family’s deadly attack in the first film, Grace finds herself in the next level of the nightmarish game, now joined by her estranged sister, Faith (Kathryn Newton (Lisa Frankenstein, Abigail). Grace must survive, protect her sister, and claim the High Seat of the Council that controls the world, while four rival families hunt her for the throne.

The ensemble cast also includes Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, Elijah Wood, Néstor Carbonell, Kevin Durand, and David Cronenberg.

Returning to pen the screenplay are Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy, who crafted the deft mix of tension and humor that made the first film such a success. Producers Tripp Vinson, James Vanderbilt, Bradley J. Fischer, and William Sherak are also back on board.

The sequel is produced through Searchlight Pictures with Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett leading the project, continuing the creative team from the original film.
