Briarcliff Entertainment has dropped the first teaser trailer for Gore Verbinski’s upcoming sci-fi thriller, Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die. The film assembles a stellar ensemble including Sam Rockwell, Haley Lu Richardson, Michael Peña, Zazie Beetz, Asim Chaudhry, Tom Taylor, and Juno Temple.
The story follows a man claiming to be from the future, who takes the patrons of an iconic Los Angeles diner hostage while hunting for unlikely recruits to help save the world. Verbinski directs from a screenplay by Matthew Robinson, also producing alongside Robert Kulzer, Erwin Stoff, Oly Obst, and Denise Chamian.
Principal photography kicked off in April 2024 in Cape Town, with a score by Geoff Zanelli, marking his first time as the lead composer for a Verbinski film after contributions to Pirates of the Caribbean and The Lone Ranger (2013).
Debuting at Fantastic Fest on 28 September 2025, the film earned warm reviews: Variety declared that “Verbinski has been sorely missed,” while IGN hailed Robinson’s screenplay as “a whole lot of fun, even considering its bleak commentary on artificial intelligence.”
Hitting theaters exclusively on February 13, 2026, expect Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die to take audiences on a laugh-out-loud, chaotic journey where humour and darkness collide.
