The brand-new Amazon Original series, “Reacher,” starring Alan Ritchson (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, “Titans,” “Blood Drive”) and based on the novels by British author Lee Child is all set to debut this Friday, February 4.
Adapted for television by Emmy-nominated writer Nick Santora (“Prison Break,” “Breakout Kings”), and also starring Malcolm Goodwin (“iZombie,” “Breakout Kings”), Willa Fitzgerald (“The Fall of the House of the Usher,” “Scream”), Chris Webster (“Most Dangerous Game”), Maria Sten (“Swamp Thing”), Harvey Guillén (“What We Do in the Shadows”), Kristin Kreuk (“Smallville”), Willie C. Carpenter (“Devious Maids”), and Bruce McGill (Cliffhanger, The Last Boy Scout), the first season is based on Lee Child’s first Jack Reacher novel “Killing Floor.”
Reacher, a veteran military police investigator who has just recently entered civilian life arrives in the small town of Margrave, Georgia, where he finds a community grappling with its first homicide in 20 years. Local cops arrest him on sight and eyewitnesses claim to place him at the scene of the crime. While he works to prove his innocence, a deep-seated conspiracy begins to emerge, one that will require Reacher’s keen mind and hard-hitting fists to deal with.
Ahead of the show’s exclusive premiere on Prime Video this Friday, CinemaChords caught up with the series’ local coroner, Harvey Guillén, who discussed how he prefers to avoid watching previous iterations of anything he signs on for so as to not replicate anything that’s been done before, and how his roles in “What We Do In The Shadows” and “Reacher” share a much similar lifeblood than one might expect.
