Brace yourself as Netflix has just debuted the trailer for the mind-boggling, epic drama “3 Body Problem” from creators David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, and Alexander Woo, and inspired by the internationally celebrated novel ‘The Three-Body Problem.’
Immersing audiences in mysteries and earth-shattering discoveries, before potentially catastrophic consequences come to life as we know it, this eight-part series begins in 1960s China when a young woman makes a fateful decision that reverberates across space and time into the present day. When the laws of nature inexplicably unravel, a tight-knit group of brilliant scientists must join forces with an unflinching detective to stop humanity’s greatest threat.
The series stars Jovan Adepo (Babylon, “Watchmen”), John Bradley (“Game of Thrones”), Rosalind Chao (Mulan, “Better Things”), Liam Cunningham (“Game of Thrones”, Dog Soldiers), Eiza González (Ambulance, Godzilla vs. Kong), Jess Hong (“Inked”), Marlo Kelly (“Dare Me”, “Joe vs. Carole”), Alex Sharp (The Trial of the Chicago Seven, The Hustle), Sea Shimooka (“Arrow”), Zine Tseng, Saamer Usmani (The Mauritanian, “Inventing Anna”), Benedict Wong (Doctor Strange, Prometheus, Moon) and Sir Jonathan Pryce (“Game of Thrones”, “The Crown”).
David Benioff and D.B. Weiss (“Game of Thrones”) and Alexander Woo (“The Terror: Infamy”, “True Blood”) are co-creators, executive producers and writers of the series. Bernadette Caulfield (“Game of Thrones”, “The X-Files”) is Executive Producer. Rian Johnson (Knives Out, Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi), Ram Bergman and Nena Rodrigue are Executive Producers for T-Street. Lin Qi, the late former Chairman of Yoozoo Group, and Zhao Jilong, CEO of the rights-holder, The Three-Body Universe, are Executive Producers, along with Xiaosong Gao and Lauren Ma. Plan B Entertainment’s Brad Pitt, Jeremy Kleiner and Dede Gardner are Executive Producers. Rosamund Pike and Robie Uniacke are Executive Producers for Primitive Streak. Derek Tsang and Andrew Stanton will direct and co-executive produce. Additional directors include Jeremy Podeswa and Minkie Spiro.
