INTERVIEW: Nick Stahl on Shudder’s Southern Gothic Shocker ‘WHAT JOSIAH SAW’

Shudder has just released the all new Shudder Original film, What Josiah Saw; American filmmaker Vincent Grashaw‘s (Coldwater, And Then I Go) third feature film which enjoyed a highly successful world premiere at the 2021 Fantasia Film Festival before going on to take home awards from the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival, Fantaspoa International Fantastic Film Festival, Screamfest, to name just a few.

Directed by Grashaw, from a script written by written by Robert Alan Dilts, the film stars Robert Patrick (Terminator 2: Judgment Day, “Peacemaker”), Nick Stahl (Sin City, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines), Scott Haze (Child of God) and Kelli Garner (Lars And The Real Girl). What Josiah Saw chronicles howafter two decades, a damaged family reunites at their remote farmhouse, where they confront long-buried secrets and sins of the past.

With What Josiah Saw having just debuting on Shudder, CinemaChords’ Ashley Northey caught up with Stahl to talk all about his particular penchant for taking on roles in “weird stories and unusual films,” and how the film reunited him with his Bully (2001) co-star, Kelli Garner.
