Ultraviolent, Scatological, Drug-drenched “DOBERMANN” Re-releasing in Celebration of 25th Anniversary

Following his extraordinary breakthrough in Mathieu Kassovitz’ La Haine, Vincent Cassel exploded back onto the screen as a now-iconic charismatic criminal in the high stakes, high-speed thrill-ride Dobermann. In celebration of the film’s 25th anniversary – hard to believe it’s been that long, we know – this rampant tour de force crime thriller set to the pulse-pounding beats of The Prodigy will be hitting the streets once again.

Directed by the Netherlands-born French filmmaker Jan Kounen, adapted from Joel Houssin’s graphic novel, this all-guns-blazing cult crime thriller saw Vincent Cassel star as “Dobermann” alongside Monica Bellucci (The Matrix franchise) and Romain Duris (The Beat That My Heart Skipped). The film follows a ruthless bank robber known as ‘Dobermann’ who has a penchant for guns, and he loves using them. Flanked by his deaf but equally violent lover (Bellucci), plus a brutal and bizarre pack of fellow thieves, Dobermann pulls off a tricky job with a mercilessly high body count. Following the violent heist, a rogue cop is hot on their heels and he’ll stop at nothing to take down the insane criminal gang…

Blue Finch Film Releasing will release Dobermann in Cinemas and on Digital Download this coming 13 May and, for now, we’ll leave you with the brand new artwork below.
