London’s FrightFest Rebrands as Tubi FrightFest Under New Sponsorship Deal

Tubi Frightfest 2026 London

London’s annual horror flagship FrightFest has locked in a major new partnership, naming Fox Corporation’s ad-supported streaming platform Tubi as its official headline sponsor for the upcoming 2026 edition.

Moving forward, the five-day event will be formally branded as “Tubi FrightFest.”

The landmark deal unites the UK’s most prominent genre film festival with an AVOD giant that has rapidly expanded its British footprint since launching in the territory in 2024. As per data provided by Ampere Analysis, Tubi has tripled its UK content offering to secure the market’s largest free movie and television catalogue, additionally tracking as Europe’s fastest-growing free ad-supported streaming service by catalogue volume.

The 2026 edition of Tubi FrightFest is scheduled to run over the August Bank Holiday weekend, spanning August 27 through August 31. The festival will return to its established anchor venues in central London: the Odeon LUXE Leicester Square and the Odeon LUXE West End.

“FrightFest is an ultimate celebration of horror fandom, making it a natural partner for Tubi,” said Ross Appleton, General Manager of Tubi UK. “Horror fans are among the most passionate and engaged audiences in entertainment, and they come to Tubi to go deeper into the genre they love.” Appleton also stressed how the platform’s expansive horror archive aims to give viewers access to cult classics, legacy favourites, and new discoveries.

For FrightFest—an institution that has spent nearly three decades operating as a vital launchpad for independent genre cinema and emerging directors—the corporate partnership marks a pragmatic shift, providing the capital necessary to upscale its operational capacity.

FrightFest Co-Director Greg Day said that the sponsorship from Tubi will deliver “crucial resources to expand the festival’s footprint, enhance guest experiences, and broaden audience reach through collaborations.”

The demographic alignment between the two brands points to a heavily youth-centric audience base. A 2025 YouGov survey indicated that Gen Z and Millennial viewers comprise 51% of Tubi’s total UK viewership, a key demographic metric for the festival as it aims to sustain its engagement with the next generation of genre enthusiasts.

The festival organisers also confirmed that the complete 2026 film lineup, international guest list, and individual event schedules will be officially unveiled in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for more imminent news.
