Central City Media has today debuted the official trailer for acclaimed actor Neil Maskell‘s (Bull, Kill List) darkly comic directorial debut, Klokkenluider (which translates from Dutch to English as ‘whistleblower’).
Written & Directed by Maskell, and starring Amit Shah (Johnny English Strikes Again, Final Score), Sura Dohnke (Happy New Year, Colin Burstead), Tom Burke (Only God Forgives, The Wonder), Roger Evans (“The Pembrokeshire Murders”) and Jenna Coleman (“Sandman”), Klokkenluider follows a government whistleblower and his wife who, for their own safety, flee to a remote country house in Belgium. Joined by two close protection officers, they await the arrival of a British journalist.
Critics are already raving about the movie, with comparisons having been made to Harold Pinter plays, conspiracy thriller classics and cult British fare such as “Black Mirror.”
The film is is executive produced by Ben Wheatley and produced by Stephanie Aspin and Helen Simmons and will release in cinemas across the UK from Friday 1st September, 2023.
