‘THE PRINCESS’ Trailer Doth Promise Nothing That Folk Hast Come to Expect From Fairy Tales

20th Century Studios has now revealed the first fast-paced trailer for Le-Van Kiet’s (Furie) The Princess, an original movie coming this July 1 exclusively to Disney‘s direct-to-consumer platforms: on Hulu in the U.S., Star+ in Latin America and Disney+ under the Star brand in all other territories.

Directed by Kiet, from a script written by Ben Lustig and Jake Thornton (Winter’s Knight, Final Fantasy), The Princess is set in a fairy tale world with not a damsel in distress in sight, starring Emmy® Award nominee Joey King (The Act, The Kissing Booth) as a beautiful, strong-willed princess who finds herself in the grip of an action-packed fight to the death. Refusing to marry the cruel sociopath she didn’t choose to be engaged to, she is abducted and locked in a remote tower in her father’s castle. With her spiteful and vindictive suitor hell-bent on claiming her father’s throne, the princess will have to suit up and do everything in her power to save her family … and the kingdom.

Rounding out the cast are Dominic Cooper (“Preacher”), Olga Kurylenko (Black Widow) and Veronica Ngo (The Old Guard).

The Princess is produced by Neal H. Moritz (the Fast and Furious franchise), Toby Jaffe (Total Recall) and Derek Ko.

Joey King can also be seen in another high octane movie, Bullet Train, curiously playing “The Prince” rather than The Princess this time. The Prince is a teenager who passes herself off as an innocent schoolgirl but is really a viciously cunning psychopath.

To whet thy appetite, we’ll leave thou with the aforementioned trailer.
