SXSW has unveiled an additional wave of programming for its 33rd annual Film & TV Festival, expanding the SXSW 2026 lineup to 107 feature films and 52 short films ahead of the event’s March 12–18 run in Austin, Texas.
The newly announced titles include 82 world premieres, alongside international, North American, U.S. and Texas premieres. The SXSW 2026 Film & TV Festival also comprises 12 television projects across TV Premiere, TV Spotlight and Independent TV Pilots, as well as 31 projects in the XR Experience program spanning Competition, Spotlight and Special Events.
Among the added narrative features are Pretty Lethal, Vicky Jewson’s action thriller starring Uma Thurman, Iris Apatow and Lana Condor; Chili Finger, led by Judy Greer, Bryan Cranston and John Goodman; Kill Me, a dark comedy starring Charlie Day and Allison Williams; and Normal, which pairs director Ben Wheatley with John Wick creator Derek Kolstad and stars Bob Odenkirk.
Additional world premieres include Alex Prager’s sci-fi thriller Dreamquil, starring Elizabeth Banks and John C. Reilly; Drew Kirsch’s Las Vegas-set crime drama He Bled Neon, with Joe Cole and Rita Ora; and The Saviors, an Airbnb thriller starring Adam Scott and Danielle Deadwyler.
The documentary slate adds titles such as Serling, the authorized portrait of “The Twilight Zone” creator Rod Serling produced by Leonardo DiCaprio; The Dads, examining fathers supporting trans and gender-expansive children amid rising U.S. legislation; and Cornbread Mafia, chronicling the rise of a Kentucky marijuana syndicate.
Midnight selections include Damian McCarthy’s Hokum, starring Adam Scott, while festival favorites making their Texas premieres include Buddy, Paralyzed by Hope: The Maria Bamford Story, and The Shitheads, directed by Macon Blair and starring Dave Franco and Peter Dinklage, as well as Grind, helmed by Brea Grant, Ed Dougherty, and Chelsea Stardust and starring Rob Huebel and Barbara Crampton.
The TV lineup is led by the world premiere of “The Comeback” Season 3, marking the final return of the HBO comedy starring Lisa Kudrow, alongside documentary series “They Called Us Outlaws,” which explores the rise of outlaw country music.
SXSW 2026 will also feature music-focused documentaries on artists including Noah Kahan, Lainey Wilson, Jack Johnson and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, as well as international titles in the Global section presented by MUBI.
