Starsailor Celebrates 25 Years: James Walsh Talks Special Anniversary Shows and UK Tour [Interview]

Since their debut in 2000, Starsailor has been a staple in the UK’s alternative rock scene, delivering iconic albums and unforgettable tracks that have resonated with fans for decades. From Love Is Here and Silence Is Easy to hits like “Silence Is Easy,” “Alcoholic,” and “Good Souls,” the band’s impact is undeniable. Now, as they approach their 25th anniversary, Starsailor is celebrating their past while looking forward to exciting new plans.

To kick off the anniversary celebrations, the band is all set to perform two special shows at Liverpool’s Tung Auditorium on February 15th. These performances will feature both a matinee and an evening show, each enhanced by a string ensemble conducted by Joe Duddell, adding a new dimension to the band’s signature sound. The string arrangements are a nod to the band’s early work, particularly Silence Is Easy, which included orchestral arrangements that became part of their distinctive style.

The anniversary celebrations don’t stop there. Starsailor has also announced a UK headline tour for November 2025, with tickets now available for purchase.
