Sink Your Fangs Into First Teaser For Leigh Whannell’s Terrifying New Take on Lupine Lore: ‘WOLF MAN’

Get ready to howl with glee because today we’re bringing you the teaser to one of the most anticipated forthcoming horror movies. From the powerhouse horror production company Blumhouse, and the mind of visionary writer-director Leigh Whannell, the creative forces behind the chilling modern reimagining of The Invisible Man, comes an all-new terrifying lupine nightmare: Wolf Man.

Directed by Whannell (The Invisible ManUpgrade, Insidious: Chapter 3), from a screenplay he co-wrote with Corbett Tuck, Lauren Schuker Blum & Rebecca Angelo (Dumb Money), the film stars Golden Globe nominee Christopher Abbott (Poor ThingsPossessor), Emmy winner Julia Garner (“Ozark”, Martha Macy May Marlene), and Matilda Firth (“Hullraisers”, Subservience)

Abbott portrays Blake, a San Francisco husband and father, who inherits his remote childhood home in rural Oregon following the disappearance and presumed demise of his own father. In the light of an increasingly strained marriage to Charlotte (Garner), Blake convinces his wife to take a retreat from the city and visit the property with their young daughter, Ginger (Firth).

However, on reaching the farmhouse in the dead of night, the family is attacked by an unseen animal. Desperate to escape, they barricade themselves inside the home while the creature prowls the perimeter. As the night progresses, Blake begins to behave strangely, transforming into something unrecognisable, leaving Charlotte between a rock and a hard place, asking herself whether the terror within these walls is more deadly than the danger lurking outside.

The film co-stars Sam Jaeger (“The Handmaid’s Tale”), Ben Prendergast (“The Sojourn Audio Drama”) and Benedict Hardie (The Invisible Man, Upgrade).

Wolf Man is a Blumhouse and Motel Movies production and is produced by Blumhouse founder and CEO Jason Blum and exec. produced by Ryan Gosling, Ken Kao, Bea Sequeira, Mel Turner and Leigh Whannell.

To discover if the characters can fend off the forces of evil – whether they end up being inside our out – audiences will have to watch Wolf Man when it premieres exclusively in theaters on January 17, 2025.
