Ryan Kruger Unveils Trailer for Long-Awaited Experimental Short Film Collection

Director Ryan Kruger (Street Trash, Fried Barry), has just debuted a trailer for his highly anticipated experimental short film collection, RIP (Recovery In Progress). Eight years in the making, the collection has already earned accolades at genre film festivals worldwide. The six shorts that make up the collection, which have remained unseen online with the exception of Fried Barry, were intentionally held back to preserve their impact as a cohesive release.

In a statement, Kruger explained his frustration with the creative limitations he felt working in the music video industry, where genre constraints stifled his artistic expression. This frustration led to the creation of RIP, a project he describes as a “creative seed” that eventually inspired his feature film, Fried Barry.

The collection is expected to be challenging and open to multiple interpretations, with many films designed to shock and provoke. Kruger emphasized that experimental filmmaking, often overlooked by mainstream filmmakers, is a vital artistic world that he hopes to bring into the spotlight.

Starting in January, Kruger will release one short film each week on YouTube. Fans of his bold style won’t want to miss the captivating glimpse offered by the newly released trailer.
