Ryan Gosling & Emily Blunt’s “Super Professional” Chemistry Showcased in New ‘THE FALL GUY’ Featurette

Universal Pictures has today debuted a brand-new featurette for veteran stunt coordinator-turned-director David Leitch‘s (Bullet TrainDeadpool 2) The Fall Guy, in which sparks fly in every sense of the word.

Many of you will recall the theme tune to the original ’80s TV series the film is inspired by which quipped, “I might fall from a tall building, I might roll a brand new car. ‘Cause I’m the unknown stuntman that made Redford such a star.” Well this new take on the original series, featuring big names like Ryan GoslingEmily Blunt, and Hannah Waddingham, leans into that notion and pays tribute to Hollywood’s unsung heroes – the stunt community.

Gosling stars as Colt Seavers, a grizzled stuntman drawn back into the industry after a sabbatical to focus on both his physical and mental health. His latest job finds him reunited with his ex-girlfriend and blockbuster director Jody Moreno (Blunt) when the production’s star, Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) mysteriously disappears. Seavers must perform elaborate stunts while trying to rekindle things with Moreno, but as the clues to Ryder’s disappearance mount, Seavers becomes embroiled in a criminal conspiracy that pushes his skills to the limit.

The film also stars Winston Duke (Black Panther franchise) and Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once).

From a screenplay by Hobbs & Shaw screenwriter Drew Pearce, The Fall Guy is produced by Kelly McCormick (Bullet TrainNobodyAtomic Blonde) and David Leitch for their 87North banner, and by Ryan Gosling and by Guymon Casady (“Game of Thrones,” Steve Jobs and executive producer of the upcoming series “Ripley”) for Entertainment 360. The film is executive produced by Drew Pearce, Entertainment 360’s Geoff Shaevitz and the creator of the original “Fall Guy” television series, Glen A. Larson.

So, without further ado, we’ll leave you with the latest behind-the-scenes featurette to remind you “who made Redford such a star…” in anticipation of Universal Pictures releasing The Fall Guy in cinemas from May 2, 2024
