Red Flags Fly High in ‘BORDERLINE’: Trailer for New Stalker Thriller Starring Samara Weaving

Magnet Releasing, the genre arm of Magnolia Pictures, has unleashed the trailer and poster for stalker thriller Borderline. Following in the footsteps of recent genre-bending hits like Heart Eyes by Josh Ruben, Borderline looks set to deliver yet another deliciously twisted take on romance-horror genre that’ll have audiences questioning the thin line between obsession and love.

Written and directed by Jimmy Warden (writer of Cocaine Bear) in his directorial debut, Borderline stars Samara Weaving (Ready or Not, Guns Akimbo) as a ’90s pop superstar and Ray Nicholson (Smile 2, “Panic”) as her dangerously persistent stalker. The film follows the escalating tension as the stalker invades her home with delusional plans of marriage, forcing her to fight for her life with the help of her bodyguard.

The cast also includes Eric Dane (X-Men: The Last Stand, Feast), Alba Batista (Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris, Amelia’s Children), and Jimmie Fails (Last Black Man in San Francisco).

Borderline is produced by LuckyChap, the film banner behind films like Promising Young Woman and Birds of Prey.

“It was an absolute pleasure to make this movie with such an extraordinary team of actors, crew, and producers,” said director Jimmy Warden. “The film is wild and I can’t wait for the world to see it.”

This LuckyChap, Red A Entertainment, Jurassic Party, and Jason Waterfalls Production. Borderline is produced by Tom Ackerley, Josey McNamara, Hadeel Reda, and Brian Duffield. Executive Producers are Colleen Camp, William G. Santor, Andrew Chang-Sang, John Hills, Mimi Steinbauer, Shawn Williamson, and Jameson Parker. Radiant Films International is handling international sales.

Borderline will hit theaters and digital platforms on March 14, and until then we’ll leave you with the aforementioned trailer that’ll leave you wondering just how far will obsessions take things in what promises one heck of a post-Valentine’s Day frenetic chill.
