PROJECT HAIL MARY Super Bowl Trailer: Ryan Gosling in Poignant, Science-Focused Story of Human Ingenuity and Responsibility

Amazon MGM Studios has unveiled the final trailer for Project Hail Mary, the adaptation of Andy Weir’s bestselling, Hugo Award–nominated novel. The film is set to arrive in cinemas on March 20, 2026.

Ryan Gosling (Barbie, Drive) stars as Ryland Grace, a science teacher who wakes alone aboard a spacecraft with no memory of his mission. He soon discovers he has been sent on a mission to prevent a solar event that threatens Earth.

The film is directed by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller (The LEGO Movie, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) and adapted for the screen by Drew Goddard, who previously worked on The Martian.

Supporting cast members include Sandra Hüller (Anatomy of a Fall), Lionel Boyce (The Bear), Ken Leung (Lost), and Milana Vayntrub.

Weir’s novel, published in 2021, received widespread acclaim for its scientifically grounded approach to space travel and became a bestseller internationally, following the success of The Martian.

Project Hail Mary is produced by Amy Pascal, Lord, Miller, Aditya Sood, Rachel O’Connor, Andy Weir, and Gosling, with executive producers Patricia Whitcher, Drew Goddard, Sarah Esberg, Lucy Kitada, Nikki Baida, and Ken Kao.

The final trailer is available below.
