Poignant Comedy ‘AND MRS’, Starring Aisling Bea & Billie Lourd, Cordially Invites You to a September Release

Vertigo Releasing has today announced that Daniel Reisinger‘s (“Sideswiped”) hilarious and heartfelt comedy drama, And Mrs, will be available on Digital Download from 2nd September, 2024.

Set to receive its World Premiere at Edinburgh International Film Festival, And Mrs, is directed by Reisinger, from a script written by Melissa Bubnic (“A Town Called Malice”), centering on Gemma (BAFTA-winner Aisling BeaGreatest Days, Swede Caroline), a woman living in London whose American fiancé, Nathan (Emmy-nominee Colin Hanks – “Fargo”, “Dexter”), dies shortly before their wedding day.

Gemma, who had never fully embraced the modern concept of marriage, is forced to reevaluate her stance after Nathan’s unexpected passing. Encouraged by Nathan’s unconventional sister, Audrey, Gemma decides to move forward with the wedding despite facing significant obstacles – from societal judgment to legal hurdles to familial objections. Determined to honor her commitment to Nathan, Gemma perseveres in her quest to finally say “I do.”

Bea and Hanks are joined by breakout star Billie Lourd (Booksmart and Ticket To Paradise) as Audrey along with a whole host of other familiar faces, including Susan Wokoma (Enola Holmes 1&2, Cheaters), Harriet Walter (“Succession”, “Ted Lasso”), Elizabeth McGovern (Downton Abbey), Omari Douglas (“It’s A Sin”), Peter Egan (“After Life”), Sinead Cusack (“MotherFatherSon”, Napoleon), Paul Kaye (“Game of Thrones”), Samuel Barnett (“Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency”), Arthur Darvill (“Doctor Who”) and Nish Kumar (“The Mash Report”).
