Peder Lindell Talks Disney’s Latest Musical Fantasy Extravaganza ‘DESCENDANTS: THE RISE OF RED’

Descendants: The Rise of Red, the highly-anticipated fourth film in the enchanting musical fantasy Descendants franchise is all ready to debut this Friday July 12, 2024 on Disney+ and August 9, 2024 on Disney Channel.

Directed by Jennifer Phang (“Stargirl”, “Resident Alien”), from a screenplay by Dan Frey and Ru Sommer, and produced by Disney Channel, this spin-off of the previous three films and a follow-up from Descendants: The Royal Wedding, finds polar opposites Red and Chloe crossing paths at a momentous celebration in Auradon when unexpected chaos breaks out. In order to prevent an impending coup, they must join forces to travel back in time, via a magical pocket watch created by the Mad Hatter’s son, to stop an event that would lead to grave consequences.

The novel ‘Beyond the Isle of the Lost: Wonderland,’ the fifth book in the series ‘The Isle of the Lost,’ was published on May 7, 2024, serving as a prequel to the events of the film.

As Disney devotees young and old eagerly mark their calendars for this must-see event, CinemaChords’ Howard Gorman sat down with Peder Lindell, who plays Morgie in the film, who shared with us how he was selected to feature in Disney’s latest entry in the much-loved Descendants franchise, how he got his head around sharing screen time with myriad Disney household heroes and villains and how he hopes to progress from here.
