Past Hurts Trigger Devastation in Teaser for ‘BRING THEM DOWN’ Starring Christopher Abbott and Barry Keoghan

MUBI, the global distributor, streaming service, and production company, has unveiled the first teaser and new stills for Bring Them Down, the directorial debut of award-winning filmmaker Christopher Andrews.

Slated for UK and Irish cinematic release on February 7th, 2025, this gripping drama features an ensemble cast led by Christopher Abbott (Poor Things, Possessor) and BAFTA-winner, Academy Award® nominee Barry Keoghan (The Banshees of Inisherin, Saltburn). Rounding out the cast are Colm Meaney (The Problem with People, Layer Cake), Nora-Jane Noone (The Magdalene Sisters, Brooklyn) Paul Ready (A Gentleman in Moscow, Motherland), Aaron Hefferman (“Brassic”, Femme) and Susan Lynch (Enduring Love, Waking Ned Davine).

At the heart of Bring Them Down lies the tale of two feuding farming families in present-day rural Ireland. Michael (Abbott), the last son of a farming family, leads an isolated existence alongside his ailing, cantankerous father Ray, burdened by a dark secret from his past that has driven him to withdraw from the world, devoting himself solely to the care of his prized flock. But when the long-simmering conflict with rival farmer Gary and his unpredictable son Jack (Keoghan) reignites old grievances and tensions, a chain of increasingly violent and devastating events is set in motion, forever altering the lives of both families.

This gripping drama has already earned critical acclaim, having received nominations for the Douglas Hickox Award for Best Debut Director (Christopher Andrews) and Breakthrough Producer (Jacob Swan Hyam) at this year’s British Independent Film Awards. The film also made its world premiere to enthusiastic audiences at the Toronto International Film Festival and was also selected for the BFI London Film Festival in 2024.

Bring The Down will release in cinemas across the UK and Ireland from February 7, 2025 and, in the meantime, we’ll leave you with the aforementioned teaser trailer.
