Paramount+ Unveils First-Look Images and Premiere Date for ‘ROSEMARY’S BABY’ Prequel ‘APARTMENT 7A’

Paramount+ has today released the first preview stills of its imminent new psychological chiller, Apartment 7A, whetting the appetites of genre fans eager to experience this chilling interpretation of Ira Levin’s novel ‘Rosemary’s Baby.’

Directed by Relic filmmaker Natalie Erika James, with a screen story by Skylar James and a screenplay by Natalie Erika James & Christian White (Relic, “Click Bait”) and Skylar James, the film takes place in 1965 New York City, chronicling the events that took place at the infamous Bramford building before Rosemary’s arrival, providing a prequel to the legendary horror classic Rosemary’s Baby.

Apartment 7A centers on aspiring dancer Terry Gionoffrio (Julia Garner, “Ozark”) who dreams of fame and fortune in New York City. But after a devastating injury, she finds unexpected refuge in the luxurious Bramford apartment building, where an older, wealthy couple (Dianne Wiest, I Care a Lot, and Kevin McNally, Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise) welcomes her into their home.

A chance at fame knocks at Terry’s door when an influential Broadway producer and fellow resident (Jim Sturgess, Across the Universe) offers her another opportunity. But, after a hazy evening, disturbing circumstances soon have her questioning the sacrifices she’s willing to make for her career, as she realizes that something sinister resides not just in Apartment 7A, but throughout the Bramford building itself.

The film’s supporting cast includes Marli Siu (Everything I Know About Love), Andrew Buchan (All the Money in the World), Rosy McEwen (Blue Jean) and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith (Wonka).

Apartment 7A, a Paramount+ original movie in association with Paramount Pictures, is a Platinum Dunes / Sunday Night Production and is set to premiere on September 27th in the United States, with additional international markets to follow later this year.

Paramount+ will also feature the film in its Peak Screaming collection, which curates a popular lineup of new original horror, fan-favorite horror movies, and iconic Halloween episodes from beloved TV series.
