Millie Bobby Brown Flips Fairy Tales Upside Down in ‘DAMSEL’: Watch the Trailer Now!

If you’ve been battling a bout of “Stranger Things” withdrawal, be relieved to know that Millie Bobby Brown is all set to step into a whole different kind of Upside Down in Oscar-nominated director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo’s Damsel and Netflix have just dropped the official trailer to put you out of your misery.

As the spirited and resourceful Elodie, Damsel goes against the traditional fairy tale grain chronicling the story of a princess whose happily ever after is ruthlessly interrupted when the royal family recruits her as a sacrifice to repay an ancient debt with a fire-breathing dragon. Left to rely solely on her wits and will to survive, it’s time to forget all those stories “Once upon a time…” stories as this damsel has only herself to rely on.

Commenting on the imminent release, Brown said, “Elodie becomes someone so unbelievably different from who she is at the beginning … She becomes this woman that she didn’t know she could become. And I think that is a huge storyline that so many women and young girls will be able to relate to.”

Starring alongside Brown are Ray Winstone, Nick Robinson, Shohreh Aghdashloo, with Angela Bassett and Robin Wright.

We’ll leave you with the trailer below which provides a glimpse of the obstacles Elodie will face when Damsel streams on Netflix on March 8.
