Lottery Winners to Headline Leigh Sports Village in Landmark Homecoming Show

Lottery Winners have announced the biggest headline show of their career – a celebratory, homegrown spectacular at Leigh Sports Village Stadium on Saturday 30 May 2026. The show will be only the third major music event ever hosted at the venue, following in the footsteps of Lionel Richie in 2018 and Elton John in 2014. For the Leigh quartet, it’s a moment to be Dancing on the Ceiling – and after years of relentless graft, they’ve finally earned their Hakuna Matata moment on home turf.

For the band – Thom Rylance, Rob Lally, Katie Lloyd and Joe Singleton – the announcement marks a triumphant return to their roots and a defining moment in a remarkable ascent from pub backrooms to chart-topping success.

“Leigh Sports Village isn’t just another show for us,” said frontman Rylance. “It’s a marker of everything we’ve worked for. From loading gear into pubs to travelling the world, every step has led here. To headline a stadium at home is rare, and we don’t take that lightly. This night will stand as proof of what’s possible when you keep on keeping on.”

The night promises to be a jubilant celebration of the band’s journey and community, with Rylance adding: “Headlining Leigh Sports Village is special in itself, but doing it here in our hometown — surrounded by the people who’ve supported us from the very start — makes it truly unforgettable. The fact that we get to welcome legends and friends like Frank Turner, Reverend and the Makers and Scouting for Girls to our town feels incredible. It’s Leigh opening its doors to the world, and we’re proud to be the ones hosting.”

Joining them on stage will be a handpicked lineup of past collaborators and special guests, with Turner and Reverend and the Makers already confirmed, and more surprises still to come. Support on the night comes from long-time friends and chart veterans Scouting for Girls, alongside rising local favourites The Lilacs. A DJ set from Katie Owen will keep the celebrations going into the evening.

The announcement follows a period of unprecedented momentum for the Leigh outfit, who have quietly become one of the most cherished acts in the country. Their 2023 breakthrough album Anxiety Replacement Therapy earned both critical acclaim and a UK No.1 – a first for any act from Leigh – and was followed in 2025 by the sonically ambitious KOKO, which further cemented their place as national treasures.

Their rise hasn’t gone unnoticed by their peers either. Following a summer tour supporting Robbie Williams across some of Europe’s biggest stadiums – which included live on-stage collaborations between the former Take That star and band members Thom and Katie – the pop icon remarked: “I’ve completely fallen in love with the Lottery Winners, and even when the tour was just two weeks in, I had a pang of sadness that their tenure with me can’t last forever.”

From early cult status to festival main stages, prime-time TV slots and now stadium headlines, Lottery Winners have become a beacon for perseverance and positivity. Known for their honest, often humorous take on mental health and modern life, the band’s knack for singalong, feel-good indie-pop has seen them build an army of devoted fans across the UK and beyond.

Tickets for the Leigh Sports Village show go on presale at 10am on Wednesday 24 September, with general sale following on Friday 26 September at 10am via thelotterywinners.co.uk and livenation.co.uk.

With their biggest headline show to date on the horizon, Lottery Winners are ready to prove, once again, that joy, resilience and a great chorus can take you all the way home – and then some.
