Knock, Knock! Lionsgate Debuts Chilling First Trailer for ‘COBWEB’ from Creator of Netflix’s “MARIANNE”

Lionsgate has debuted the first official trailer for Samuel Bodin’s (creator and director of Netflix’s “Marianne”) chilling directorial debut, Cobweb.

Directed by Samuel Bodin, from a script penned by Chris Thomas Devlin (a screenwriter on 2022’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre), the film stars Lizzy Caplan (Cloverfield, Mean Girls), Antony Starr (“The Boys,” The Covenant), Cleopatra Coleman (Infinity Pool) and Woody Norman (“War of the Worlds”) and tells the story of an eight-year-old boy, Peter who is plagued by a mysterious, constant tap, tap from inside his bedroom wall – a tapping that his parents insist is all in his imagination. As Peter’s fear intensifies, he believes that his parents (Caplan and Starr) could be hiding a terrible, dangerous secret and questions their trust. And for a child, what could be more frightening than that?

The script topped the 2018 Blood List and was also voted to The Black List that same year.

Cobweb is produced by Roy Lee, Andrew Childs, Evan Goldberg, Seth Rogen, James Weaver, and Josh Fagen and will release exclusively in theaters on July 21, 2023.
