Indy’s Adventure Comes Full Circle: ‘Indiana Jones and The Great Circle’ PS5 Release Date Confirmed

Today, Bethesda revealed the long-awaited release dates for Indiana Jones and The Great Circle, and PlayStation 5 owners couldn’t be more excited. After weeks of anticipation, fans finally got the exact timeline they’d been waiting for: early access will begin on April 15th, with the global release following on April 17th. As expected, pre-orders will grant players a head start, allowing them to dive into Indy’s latest adventure ahead of the crowd.

But the announcement came with more than just release dates. Alongside the reveal, Bethesda dropped a promotional trailer that set the stage for something truly unique: a meeting of gaming legends. In the trailer, Troy Baker, who voices Indiana Jones in the new game, shared a playful conversation with Nolan North, the voice of Nathan Drake from Uncharted. It wasn’t your typical back-and-forth; it was a fun nod to the history of adventure games. North, channeling Drake’s trademark humor, joked about sneaking into a fancy room, while Baker, fully embracing Indy’s quick wit, talked about how the character uses his brains to get out of trouble. They even had a lighthearted debate about weapons—North leaned toward firearms, while Baker stood by the iconic whip.

The moment almost symbolized a passing of the torch, welcoming the new Indiana Jones into the ranks of gaming adventurers. Even more interesting was the crossover between gaming giants: Microsoft-owned Bethesda working with Nolan North, the face of Sony’s Uncharted. It’s a fascinating moment that shows Microsoft’s broader strategy to reach beyond their own platform, especially as Indiana Jones and The Great Circle joins titles like Forza Horizon 5 and Doom: The Dark Ages on rival consoles.

The game had already been a huge success, reaching four million players through its day-one Game Pass launch, but the PS5 release promises to broaden its reach even further. Adding to the buzz, Harrison Ford gave his stamp of approval, praising Troy Baker’s portrayal of Indy and noting that Baker’s performance made AI unnecessary to capture the character’s essence.

With reviews like IGN’s 9/10, PS5 owners can finally experience the whip-cracking, fedora-wearing adventure that feels like the original films—packed with pulse-pounding action, clever puzzles, and that unmistakable Indy charm.
