“FEAR” Trailer: A Family’s Dark Descent in New Psychological Thriller Coming to Prime Video

Prime Video has today debuted the official trailer for the forthcoming three-part psychological thriller series, “Fear.” Set to premiere on 4th March 2025, exclusively on Prime Video in the UK and Ireland, the series is poised to take viewers on a harrowing ride as a family is pushed to their absolute limits.

Starring Martin Compston (“The Rig,” “Line of Duty”) as Martyn, and Anjli Mohindra (“Vigil,” “The Lazarus Project”) as his wife Rebecca, the series begins with the couple excited for a fresh start. Having moved from London to a beautiful house in Glasgow with their two young children, they believe they’ve found the perfect place to begin anew. But their peace is quickly shattered when their neighbor Jan, played by Solly McLeod (“Tom Jones,” The Dead Don’t Hurt), makes unsettling comments to Rebecca. What starts as an odd interaction soon escalates into something far more menacing, forcing Martyn and Rebecca to confront every parent’s worst nightmare.

As accusations pile up and the authorities refuse to intervene, the couple finds themselves isolated and desperate. With nowhere to turn, they are forced to face a terrifying situation without the help they so desperately need. “Fear” explores themes of trust, fear, and the lengths a family will go to protect themselves when everything they hold dear is threatened.

The series boasts a talented supporting cast including BAFTA-winning James Cosmo (“Jack Ryan,” “Game of Thrones”), Maureen Beattie (Deadwater Fell, Our House), Daniel Portman (“Black Mirror,” “Game of Thrones”), Anneika Rose (“Crossfire,” “Line of Duty”), and Bhav Joshi (Breathtaking, The Diplomat). The series is based on a novel by Dirk Kurbjuweit, written by Mick Ford (After the Flood, The Stranger), and directed by Justin Chadwick (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, Shardlake). Filmed entirely in Glasgow, “Fear” was supported by Screen Scotland through its Broadcast Content Fund and is produced by Wild Mercury (a Banijay UK company) and Capricorn Productions.

Before its official release, “Fear” will have its world premiere at the Glasgow Film Festival, where fans can enjoy a screening and participate in a panel discussion with select cast and crew. Banijay Rights will handle international distribution, ensuring the series reaches a global audience.

Set your reminders for 4th March 2025 to experience what looks set to be an unmissable psychological thriller when it releases exclusively on Prime Video.
